FEBRUARY CLUBDAY
Clubday is this coming Sunday 20 February. We are having another of our twilight meetings so those of you going to Kart in the Dark can have a bit of a sleep in. The day will start with scrutineering from 11.00am with drivers briefing at 11.45am and we will be on the track by 12 noon. Looking to finish at around 6.00pm. The track will be closed on Sunday morning prior to clubday. The race direction will be our normal direction ( clockwise ) and duty class is all Junior drivers and the helpers.
HAVE A GO DAY
We are again supporting the Upper Hutt City Council in there up coming Activation day on Saturday 26 February. This is a day where all local sports in the Upper Hutt area come together to promote themselves. We will be having a display and our members there to talk about karting. The idea to get people interested in Karting and to grow our membership. As a follow on we will be offering interested people a have a go in a kart at the track on Saturday 12 March. To run the have a go day we need your help with karts for people to use. The have a go day will run from 9.00am to 4.00pm and those wanting a drive pay $30 for a 10 minute drive, of which $25 goes to the kart owner and $5 comes to the club. If you are able to help out and have a kart avaiable for the day please let me know so we can start co ordinating the day. We need karts in all classes from Cadets right through.
KARTPORTS AND TRAILER PARKS
We have recently updated the numbering on all the trailer parks, and those with leases have been given there updated number. A list of current Kartport and Trailer Park holders will be displayed at the club shortly. Please do not use a trailer park that is leased by a member, if you want a permenant allocated park then see me and we can sort it for you. Also the same with Kartports, if you see an empty Kartport you must check first prior to usnig it.
